*Reminder* Spotted Lanternfly Informational Sessions

SLF (1)

The Spotted Lanternfly, an insect from Asia, is invading our woods and gardens. Pennsylvania faces an $18 billion threat to its economy and Montgomery County lies within the expanding quarantine zone. Transportation and horticultural businesses are required to obtain licenses to conduct business within as well as into and out of the quarantine zone. Licensed managers are required to train their employees.

Upper Gwynedd Township has invited Penn State Master Watershed Steward, Jeffrey Fehlenberg to lead a free informational session about insect identification, suggested defense methods, and related topics. Residents, elected officials, horticultural business owners, firewood retailers, and moving/storage companies are strongly encouraged to attend. Additional information can be found online at www.extension.psu.edu/spotted-lanternfly.
